The houses for sale in the ancient villages may look a good option, but so often there is no road you can use to get into your newly built property, electricity in your newly house is not guaranteed nor is running water. There are no for sale signs along the road, so you will probably seek out a local estate agents. Alternatively if you wish to buy, find a friend who can translate for you then organise a solicitor to help you buy your land or property.

The Greek Islands are cooler than Crete making sleeping at night more bearable! Crete is a very dry hot island and gets very dusty in the height of the season, perfect for heat lovers!
For those of you that feel the cold, a cardy is required in the evenings on the Greek Islands when the cool breeze begins. On Crete take a small fan to cool you down!
Although you have waited all winter to obtain your holiday tan, the wise one's among you will use a higher factor sun cream during the extremely hot days, this will not make you tan less, it will actually make you tan more and avoid 3-4 days of not being able to sit in the sun at all!
Perhaps you wish to go Greek Island hopping? An excellent idea! Travel by boat or plane is inexpensive and frequent in Greece and even in the height of the summer holiday season, you will always be able to find self catering accommodation or rooms for rent relatively easily! So go for it and see more of Greece
The sea around the islands of Greece and Crete are usually very clean and clear, there are times of the year when jellyfish swim close to the beaches, so it's always worth checking before leaping into the sea!
